Walla Walla County Sheriff Search and Rescue (WWCSSAR) is a 100% volunteer organization founded in 1960. We are Southeastern Washington's primary ground search and non-technical rescue unit, and responds to missions both in-county and in neighboring states.

All field-qualified WWCSSAR members operate as unpaid professionals. We provide extensive training in wilderness navigation, map and compass, outdoor survival, evidence search, and rescue skills. We operate solely under the discretion of the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office.
